Pastor Kyle Prichard and wife Elora

A little about me

I grew up in Barbourville, KY, but spent most of my summers at our family cabin on Norris Lake, in Sharps Chapel.  Long-story short, in 2006 I became a full-time resident of Sharps Chapel, TN!  That was a beginning to a tremendous journey on which God still has me.

I met my wife, Elora, in 2013.  She came with a friend to visit the church in which I attended.  Surprisingly, a year later, I took a job where she was currently employed.  We immediately became friends.  My story is that she fell in love and chased after me.  The truth is, it was the other way around.  (and I’m still chasing!)  We had no idea that God was using our relationship to create a worship family in Tazewell, TN.  In 2014 we went into the floral business together.  Our church was basically born from a Bible study that met each week at Eden Floral Design.  However, in 2016 God gave me a vision for a new church plant in Claiborne County.  I shared this with a few friends, and the beginnings of our new church were underway.  On February 19, 2017, the Hill Church was born!

I am in love with being a pastor!  Yes, it carries many responsibilities, but the joy in leading people toward freedom in Christ is worth it all!  I can not imagine having another “job.”  God has gifted me with great abilities in helping others better understand who He is through His Word.  Through the grace He has given me through Jesus, I have learned to better meet people where they are.  This grace helps me in leading and spiritually guiding those under my watch in all kinds of real situations from the realities of marriage, to battles against addiction, help with mental health and traumatic experiences, and helping people discover the truths of the Gospel of Christ and how to experience the fullness of God.

I could not ask for a better ministry partner than Elora.  She has such a big heart for others, especially those within our church community.  We have three children (well, adults now), Lauren, Rebecca, and Landon, and one very special Yorkie named Franklin!  My biggest hobby revolves around the kitchen.  I love gourmet cooking and baking, so in my free time, that’s where you’ll find me most.

My hope for the Hill Church

I’m excited about the mission and vision God has laid before us.  He has called us to lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus, and we’re doing that by radically loving!  I’m very much looking forward to our move into a new location in the very near future, which will expand our worship area, and also increase our ministry capabilities, so we can better be the hands and feet of Jesus.  All that comes down to worship - giving Jesus His right place in our lives.  My hope for our church community is that we continue to create a space in which people can freely worship in a way to better experience God.
